Hmm. I have always been adamant about living in my own country. And yet I would feel as torn as you between the country who has embraced you and your home country.

I know of someone whose home country only brought him heartache. But God seems to be bringing him closer to his home country by giving him circumstances wherein he can be in close contact.

For me, if I emigrated elsewhere today, I would be more loyal to my home country. But had I been younger, I would probably be more loyal to the country I immigrated to.

It's a matter of conditioning actually, and adults can make more clear-headed decisions than kids and teens. :)

I guess it's because I've seen my country move from desperate situations to the country that reportedly has the fastest-growing economy in Asia today. :)

Cheers!
